General Membership meeting on June 20th, New York State Senator, Eric Schneiderman, was chosen to be the V.I.D. candidate for Attorney General, after Elizabeth Holtzman withdrew her name from the A.G. race. Thursday, May 27, 6:30 p.m. Location: Independence Plaza, 310 Greenwich Street, Community Room on 2nd Floor (Corner of Duane, 1 block north of Chambers) with: Downtown Independent Democrats, Village Reform Democrats, Stonewall Democratic Club of New York. A great opportunity to hear the candidates for Civil Court Judge. Your input is important to select the best Judges for our Courts.
Immediately following the Forum, the V.I.D. will vote our Judicial endorsements the same evening.

We will be voting our endorsements for: N.Y.S. Governor, N.Y.S. Lt. Governor, NYS Attorney General, N.Y.S. Comptroller, both U.S. Senate Seats, both Districts’ 8th and 14th U.S. House of Rep., N.Y.S. Assembly, N.Y.S. Senate, and Male and Female State Committee Positions.

The V.I.D. General Meeting on August 13, 2009 will be held at the LGBT Center, 208 West 13th Street, btw. 7th Avenue and 8th Avenue at 7:30 pm. The agenda will be:

A discussion on how best to influence the current healthcare battle.
Candidates running for the New York Civil Court, 3rd District in the upcoming Sept. Primaries. The club’s endorsement vote will follow after the candidates presentations.
