People's Union Feb. 28th, 24 Hours of Economic Blackout: BOYCOTT!
Send a message to giant companies ripping us off. On Feb. 28, don't shop online, in big box stores, no Amazon, no Walmart, no Best Buy, fast food nor gas. Just one day will send a powerful message. Think they'll miss our DEI dollar? Don't spend. Let them know why.
The 24-hour Economic Blackout - Our Numbers Count!
The Feb. 28 Economic Blackout is one more tool in our toolbox—a stepping stone toward more forceful grassroots action. Join The People’s Union USA and hundreds of grassroots groups nationwide to stand against Donald Trump’s policies and companies that have cut DEI. By pausing all spending at major corporations for 24 hours, we send a clear message: the people, not corporations, hold the real economic power.
When: Thursday, February 27, 12:00 AM – Friday, February 28, 11:59 PM
A full 24 hours of no spending
What NOT to do:
No purchases—online or in-store
No Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, or major retailers
No spending on fast food, gas, or non-essentials
No credit or debit card use unless absolutely necessary
What you CAN do:
Only buy essentials (food, medicine, emergency supplies)
Support small, local businesses if you must spend
Talk about it, post about it, and document your participation
This is just the beginning—future efforts, like the weeklong Amazon boycott from March 7-14, will continue to escalate our fight. If a million people take part, they can’t ignore us.
