Casino Proposals in Times Square and Hudson Yards: Public Hearings 

Two casino proposals, The Avenir at Hudson Yards and Caesars Palace in Times Square, are moving through the state’s review process. Each project must hold two public hearings before the Community Advisory Committee (CAC), which has the power to stop a proposal from advancing. These hearings are critical. This second round may determine whether the casinos move forward.

UPCOMING CAC HEARING DATES: 

The Avenir (second hearing): Monday, September 8, 2025, 12:00–7:00 PM at the Javits Center ( 429 Eleventh Ave, Manhattan). Details and full agenda here.
