Forum on Local Law 97: What It Does, Why We Need It, and How It Works

Food and Water Watch is hosting a forum on Local Local Law 97,  NYC’s Green New Deal for Buildings. Passed in 2019, it's our nation’s most ambitious local climate and jobs law. Local Law 97 is already fulfilling its potential to cut air pollution, lower utility bills, and create jobs while helping New York reduce greenhouse gases. This forum will discuss tools and techniques for complying with the law by weatherizing and electrifying buildings and making our homes more comfortable and energy efficient. Moderated by former council member Costa Constantinides with special guest Council Member Shekar Krishnan.
