Mark’s campaign for Comptroller is in the homestretch. Many of us have followed and appreciated Mark's great work in the City Council and as our current Manhattan Borough President. Now, we can help him over the Nov 4th finish line.  Rather than being a usual campaign event, we wanted to make this more of a thoughtful discussion of issues and to learn how Mark would put the dual powers of the Comptroller’s office to use. How would he resist fascism, and stand up to Trump to protect the city, its institutions and its finances?  How can he leverage the power of our pension funds to create and maintain affordable housing, increase government efficiency, and fight the climate crises? Can Mark co-ordinate with other blue city pension managers to put pressure on corporate America? What would his oversight role look like, and how might he work with a new mayor?  Mark has used every office he’s held to do important things for the city - this role should be no different.
