Save Dapolito Rec Center - Testify at City Hall

Save the Dapolito Recreation Center

Call on the NYC Parks Department to Use $51.8 Million in the Executive Budget to Restore Not Demolish the Tony Dapolito Recreation Center.

On May 1, the Mayor released his FY2026 Executive Budget which includes $51.8 million allocated to the Tony Dapolito Recreation Center. Now, the City Council must deliberate on whether to adopt that line item in the final budget. While the precise purpose of that allocation remains unclear, we now have an opportunity to tell City Council that we want the funding dedicated towards the repair, not the demolition, of the Tony Dapolito Recreation Center.

Please join us Tuesday to testify during the New York City Council Committee on Parks & Recreation's hearing on the Executive Budget to make our voices heard.

When: Tuesday, May 13 at 12:00PM
Where: Council Chambers - City Hall
How to testify (in person, remote or through written testimony): Hearing Testimony Registration - New York City Council. Select the 5/13 hearing and the subject of the testimony is: Repair Tony Dapolito Recreation Center.
