AT THIS MEETING: 

  • 2026 candidate forums & endorsement votes will feature State Senate District 27 (Sen. Brian Kavanagh).
  • Congressmember Dan Goldman (NY10) will also join us with an update.
  • Two VID constitutional Amendment Votes
  • VID club elections part 1 for President/Co-Presidents and three Vice Presidents (part 2 is next month)

In the coming months, VID will host additional candidate forums and endorsement meetings for U.S. Congress (NY10 & NY12), Governor, Lt. Governor, State Senate & Assembly, NYC Civil Court, VID Judicial Delegates, and State Committee Members. You can view the tentative schedule  here however, these dates have not been confirmed but we hope to finalize the schedule very soon.  Please check back to confirm the schedule. Club Elections: VID’s Executive Committee is made up of officer positions and members-at-large.  Elections will take place in two separate membership meetings.

Nominations are now open for the VID Executive Committee! We strongly encourage members to get involved. If you’re curious about stepping in, a Member-at-Large seat is a great, low-commitment entry point.
Please fill out this form if you'd like to run, or you may be nominated from the floor at the meeting.

Thursday, December 11, 2025 elections will be held for the following positions:

  • President or Co-Presidents
  • Vice Presidents (3 positions available)

Thursday, January 8, 2026 elections will be held for the following positions:

  • Treasurer
  • Recording Secretary
  • Corresponding Secretary (2)
  • Executive Committee Members-at-Large (15)

Any VID member in good standing is eligible to run for a position on VID’s Executive Committee.
You must be a member for 3+ months and dues paid up to date to run for a position, or vote in the elections.


VID Constitutional Amendment Votes

Members will also vote on the first of two required approvals for two proposed constitutional amendments. One that would establish a limited waiver process for eligibility to run for President or Co-President. And the second, clarifying the Membership Coordinator. The first required vote will take place at the December meeting, with the second scheduled for January.
