Please note: The mayoral endorsement vote for members will take place via email using OpaVote. Voting will begin approximately between 7:50pm-8:00pm and will remain open for 30 minutes. A full agenda is attached here.

We’re proud to share that all of VID’s endorsed candidates—including our 30 Judicial Delegates and Alternate Delegates—have won their elections, with one exception: the mayoral race.
Since our previously endorsed mayoral candidate was not elected in the primary, VID will now move forward with selecting a new candidate to endorse. This decision will be made by a membership vote at our regular meeting.
To be eligible to vote, you must be a member in good standing—meaning you’ve been a member for at least 90 days and your dues are current.
At the meeting, members will consider two options:

Endorsing the Democratic primary winner, Zohran Mamdani

Issuing no endorsement
Zohran Mamdani—or a representative on his behalf—has been invited to speak at the meeting. As of now, we do not have a confirmation that he or a representative will be able to attend. Please see Zohran Mamdani's submitted questionnaire from our candidate forum earlier in the year.
