Have you never knocked on doors? Come find out how it's done! Are you enthused by the to of the ticket of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz? Do you want to volunteer for the very first time? Come find out how, what, and where with Vote Blue NYC.
Starting in September, we will organize buses to ferry eager NYC volunteers to competitive Congressional districts near the city, and we'll show you how we do what we do. We'll answer questions like:
- What is "canvassing"?
- What do I need to participate?
- Where are we going?
- Will I be safe?
- I'm an introvert. Can I do this?
VID is proud to be a member of Vote Blue, a coalition, of NYC Democratic clubs, grassroots organizations and elected officials.
We will campaign for key congressional candidates in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Our strategy is: flip the House, hold the Senate, and send Kamala Harris and Tim Walz to the White House!
Vote Blue will be sending canvassing buses to districts within a 100-mile radius of New York City. No prior experience is needed: additional training provided on the bus and lunch is included! We ask volunteers to pay a small fee to help offset the costs of the buses (usually $10) but no one will be turned away due to an inability to pay.
Vote Blue buses will leave from Union Square starting on September 14th, and run every Saturday (and some Sundays) through Election Day.
