VID Constitutional Amendment Information

Two proposed amendments to the VID Constitution are currently under consideration. Under the constitutional process, each amendment requires approval at two consecutive General Membership meetings.

At the December 2025 meeting, members discussed and voted to approve both proposed amendments, completing the first required vote. The second and final vote is scheduled for the January 8, 2026 General Membership meeting.

The proposed amendments are:

• A limited waiver process for eligibility to run for President or Co-President under specific, clearly defined circumstances.

• A clarification of the Membership Coordinator position within the VID Constitution.
