A Thank You from Campaign 2024: Vote Blue Bus

Your willingness to help allowed hundreds of volunteers to do the vital work of democracy. With your help, Vote Blue supported 32 buses in 2024, bought countless lunches and buttons, printed training packets, and organized communications with volunteers and field houses. It literally put a complex operation on the road, facilitating many thousands of conversations with voters and inspiring hundreds of anecdotes — as well as deeply valued acts of kindness, as from the former District Leader who baked cookies for every one of our buses (as she has for over a decade). You returned to Vote Blue again and again, weekend after weekend. Our democracy is much stronger for your generosity, and all of us at Vote Blue join in thanking you. Whatever the results, we did our best — and we'll be back for the next elections with our trained and enthusiastic forces, helping to build a better world, knock by knock. Our victories come from working together.

Do Something!

We can feel the joy, enthusiasm, and momentum this election season! But that won't win elections alone, so here is a listing of actions you can take. It is still an uphill battle to elect Democrats up and down the ballot and send Kamala Harris and Tim Walz to the White House! It will take all of us to make sure Democrats go to the polls and vote!

Every week until the election, VID will be dedicated to actions you can take to stay involved. There's something for everyone: buses to knock on doors, postcarding, phonebanking, textbanking, tabling in the neighborhood, sign up to be a poll worker and more!

Poll Workers Needed for the November Election!

Our District Leader Jen Hoppe has learned that our downtown poll sites will be in need of poll workers for the general election on Tuesday, November 5th. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., and workers arrive early and stay until votes are properly and securely reported. Training is required and the Board of Elections will offer it soon. If you are interested in this paid position, contact Jen Hoppe.
Students can apply to be paid workers too! Apply HERE

VID and thousands of volunteers across the county gave it their all—and more. Unfortunately, half the county chose to vote for a serial criminal and insurrectionist. Their willful ignorance, laziness, and refusal to engage with the facts will ultimately harm them—and all of us."
